View Full Version : FireFox Fixes
On the reply and quick reply boxes there are no margins, and the text sticks to the side.
The post reply box [not quick] doesn't stretch all the way accross.
I havn't found any more, but I just upgraded to FireFox.

Bane posted about this a long long time ago but alot of people use IE so they didnt care. I told him today about it but he said he wouldnt touch it.
(01:20:56) <Joe> bane fix the size of the reply boxes
(01:21:09) <Bane> what you mean joe?
(01:21:20) <Joe> there annoyingly small
(01:21:38) <Bane> I think so too but the majority think otherwise so i wont do anything about it :S
Its really annoying when typing in a long post. I have to open notepad, type everything there then paste it here.
Alex, you mean it's differnt on IE and Firefox? Probably an IE bug that you might see as a Firefox since you've been using IE the most :)

I have to do the same for long posts...very annoying but hey majority rules.
It's not just the reply size, there are no margins on the quick reply box and it kinda bugs me, it just doesn't look right.
:)
No margins? Eh?
The only difference I see is IE (Version 6.0) has the unnecessary scrollbar and Mozilla doesn't (which is how the page should be rendered)
I only use IE 6.0 IF I ever use IE at all. Can you post a picture showing this "margin" Alex?

Hmmm..what version of IE are you on Alex?
I don't have this problem and I tested this on Firefox and MS IE 6.0
Everything is identical apart from the size of the reply box which is a bit wider in firefox since it doesnt show the unnecessary scrollbar unlike IE does.
I dont understand how you can not have a gap before the reply box. It doesnt seem to be a problem in Firefox. I've been using it since day one and I havent had this problem. It's probably something on your end.
:edit:
I also dont have that margin issue.....what is it..some 3px difference?
I'm on IE 6 too, but it's probably just FireFox settings. Sorry to bother you. :)
:edit:
looked through firefox settings, nothing I can see that affects it. :)
I still don't have any problems like this alex.
It might be some settings you have on your side.
Meanwhile, if anyone else has this problem, please mentione it here. I'm beginning to think this is an isolated issue.
