I hope I posted this in the right category. If not, I'm really sorry!
I'm no pro at Photoshop, but I feel quite comfortable using it. But when it comes to Image Ready. I don't know anything!

So here are some very n00bish questions:

1. A) Is Image Ready better than Photoshop in any way? Or do you use the two for completly different tasks.

B) If so, when do you use which one?

2. Can someone tell about a good and simple Image Ready tutorial. I want to start of with easy stuff.

Thanks in advance.
Sorry for asking these n00b questions. But hey, that's what I am!

Everybody asks "noobish" questions sometime or the other :)

1.
A) ImageReady are used for different purposes or I don't think Adobe would bundle them together :)
B) Depends on what you want to do. For photo manipulation and fancy efffects, I use Photoshop, for web design, people use ImageReady...or DreamWeaver...but it's better if you do it by hand if you have the time to.

2. Hmm...give google a try maybe?

Good luck :)

What about this new version. "CS" (New to me at least.)
It's supposed to have support for making swf files.

Would those prefebly be created in Photoshop or Image Ready?

Never tried making swf's in anything else but Flash and I don't think I want to since Flash is made for a reason. I dont think you can do too much to SWF's in Adobe products as you can in Flash :)

But as I understand it, you can make a several layer file in IR, and then export it to Macromedia Flash as the layers automatically, and keep the tweens etc.
Sounds kinda handy I think.

That if, IF you can you IR, which I can't.

Oh if you can export a layered PSD into flash thats good, I thought you meant do the animations in IR and save as SWF from there.
