First time posting in awhile

I know there are several tutorials for realistic blood, but the ones that i have found arn't quite realistic enough and are not giving me the effect I am trying to achieve. I'm trying to get a type of splattered effect. I was looking for the example of it but I lost it, ymay remember it if you looked at battles off of someone's website; It had a girl lying in a bathtub with the splattered effect. We'll see if you guys know what I'm talking about and if you don't then I will try to find the battle again.

Well, you can get realistic blood effects either by using brushes or pics of real blood, which you blend over your pic in a certain blending mode (just try out and search the mode that fits best with your pic).

You can find splatter brushes for example here (http://www.angryblue.com) or here (http://www.proart.tk) *spam* :D

Yup. Use a pre-made Brush in red then set your blending mode and toy a bit with the Burn tool.

make your own brushes. you can't call something your own if you use someone elses creations!

go get some food colouring, or soy sauce, or anything liquidy that has some kind of dark, rich colour to it, and make a few drips on a piece of paper. let dry, scan. I've never done this before, but this is how I would do it, at least =)

Experiment with different heights at which you make the drop, and if the paper idea doesnt work, try making some drips directly on your scanner =) just make sure to wipe it up good =D
