Hi everyone. I'm a newbie. Can anyone help me with curves, how do u get that smooth curve on the corners of things, theres plenty at this website (http://www.fotopointrautatieasema.fi/) . I have paint shop pro 7, adobe photoshop 7 and 3d studio max 4. I have tried it with paint shop pro 7 but its always a bit crap and doesnt look smooth wen i copy it to ps7 and use the magic wand to take away the white corners to make it transparent. Can anyone help?

Thanks very much,
Fajj'z

if you create a shape, that's not just a square marquee selection, then you can go to "Selection>Modify>Smooth" or something, and you can get the same effect on the corners.

The techniques above work well, but I use a different method.

Create a new channel, fill the parts you want rounded with white. Now, go to FILTER > BLUR > GAUSSIAN BLUR and choose how many pixels you want it rounded. Then, goto IMAGE > ADJUST > LEVELS. In the first box, type 120, in the third, type 150. ( Mess around with these figures till you et it right ). Then, CTRL + click the channel. You will have the rounden part as a selection. Create a layer, and fill the selection in it :)

that technique is probably the only automation i still use, it's worth making an action out of it when you do it, you will use it
