prepping a book for print and bind

im doing the simple layout of a book in indesign for my girlfriend and im curious as to what i should do for the cover seeing as it has to be one piece of cardstock to encase the book, the question i have is how do i know how thick the book will be or do i even need too?

How many pages is the content, is it alot or just a few?

about 20-25, but its going on double thick double sided matte stock, the thing is i havent got that yet so i cant measure. i think what im going to have to do is just move the placement of the back print so that it will look right wherever it ends up.

Yeah i would wait till i get the stocks

20 pages is not that much, you shouldn't have to make a back side
