i just got my first version of illustrator and in my quest for tuts i found this site with litle movies were they explain all the basic tools and stuff... very usefull for the ubernoobs (like me, altho the interface looks very like the one of ps) but also for the selftought "pros" :)

i also want a tut on how to cut out images form pictures. right now all im doing is usuing the eraser tool and carefully cutting around the object. its annonying. is there a faster more acurate way?

Magic Eraser tool. Right Click on the eraser tool and click magi eraser click the color you wish to erase. It will probally be the best for simple grapics like that. you may have to work with the tolerance some.
