n00b Question: "the tools"

I have a question on the line tool, the regtangle tool and thouse tools. Once you have clicked on them and used them how do I actualy use them... Its hard to explain my question... let me try again.

lets say I want to use the rectangle tool and I click on the regtangle tool on the tool box, now I go to my paper and make a regtangle. NOW how can I make something out of it... as in I want to use the paint bucket on it and it just goes through the line too... I don't realy know how to use them... is there a tutorial on how to use thiese tools?!?

thats why we're here, it sounds as though it's your anti-aliasing setting, set it to 0, there are loads of very useful tutorials that will get you through the tools and how they work, browse through the sticky thread above, learn as much as you can, heres one that deals with the basics, it's a handy link - http://www.nebulus.org/tutorials/2d/photoshop/ps1/index.html - hope it helps :)

Once your've made your form, go to Edit/Fill
