Lava, firebal, hellish lookin stuff...

I'm working on a new project, got my drawing set, now I need to do a background. Do you guys know any tutorial that would show me how to make lava, fireball and stuff, or if you got any tips for that. Thanks!

theres 4 i found in about 2 mins, search through tutorial sites, there's literally hundreds of different fire effects, there's a lot of plasma type tutorials too, just change the hue to red and you have nice lava
