Hi
I am not sure if this is the right forum, but will try anyway...:)

I am working on somebody's project created in InDesign. I am new to this program and I have (I hope) quick question(s). The file contains spot colors that I need to change to CMYK (it's going to be printed as CMYK).
What is the quickest way of doing this?
Also, I need to resize it to the different specs. It's a cover that needs to be much smaller. Can I just group the whole thing and drag it to the size I need?
Will that be save? Since I am making it smaller, I am not afraid of loosing the resolution.

Thanx for any advice...:)

The scale thing:
I'm not a InDesign user but it's possible to do it like the way you said, but keep an eye out for leading and tabs. Those things usually screws up using Quark

The spot colour:
Double click the swatch in the colour palette and set the colour mode to cmyk and then the colour type to process. However, InDesign (or any other Adobe software) is not able to give you the correct cmyk, defenition. the best thing you can do is to get a Pantone solid to process book.

I understand that you may not have the time, so i guess you'll have to do with what InDesign gives you :)
