Printer Marks

I am including the crop marks on the PDF of a bookcover I am sending off to have printer and then bound. The bounding process will be thermal, wraparound (just your standard softback book cover). Should I include some sort of marks to determine where the folds will be? I don't think that would be necessary, but what are your experiences?

Yes, i usually make a dashed line in the registration mark colour or create a spot colour and call it die or something
