Let me explain why I think that this is a good deal.
Lifetime royalties are a good thing. Even though a 20% royalty may sound like a small piece of the pie, it is a royalty over the life of the product. That means that every time it is sold you get 20%. Five years of sales, even at only 20%, might seem significant to you. With twenty pieces of art earning 20% over five years you might come to really enjoy the steady income. With 100 pieces, it may be a substantial portion of your income.
It's true, instant success is great, when you can find it. Long term royalty payments will not have the pizzazz but they can make your life more comfortable.
Of course, this is all based upon sales. Reality bites and some people may take the time to post and have poor or no sales. You need to look at our site and make the decision on whether you think you can compete. The t-shirt market is huge and their will always be new fraternity parties and new company picnics, softball teams, summer camps, etc. Right now the opportunity is wide open.
My initial post may not have been the best. If I had it to do over again I would word it differently. The T-Shirt Art Store deal is for artists that have done t-shirt art before, know a bit about it, and can simply take some time to put their designs online. After that, the royalties begin.
One other factor to consider, as Lokki pointed out, is that once you post these t-shirt designs on our site, screen printers across the country are going to use and abuse them. Don't post your masterpieces. However, this is t-shirt art we're talking about. It should be a purely money making proposition, don't expect any fame.
I hope that I cleared up any misconceptions. This is not a here today gone tomorrow website. We've been in the screen print industry for many years and we are marketing this site to thousands of quality screen printers. I believe that this is a good opportunity for the artists that understand it and have a good reason to join.
I would love to show you my design series and participate in your offer:drool:
