I don't know what it is with me :( this is the thrid thread I've typed up having originally misread the post :S

what are you using to author the DVD complilation? a PSD with alpha SHOULD work (make sure you select the proper alpha layer as the alpha mask)

BUT if your charater is NOT moving (just a picture) my best bet would be to save the photoshop document as a 32bit TIFF (or TGA) which includes a alphamask.

importing this into the authoring program should apply the mask by default.

i have access to adobie authorship but i believe i'm using ulead dvd authorship.

I'll tell you what i have been doing and tell me if anything is wrong. i have been assigning a new layer and pasting my image. after that i add a alpha channel and fill it with white. then i flatten the image and save it as a 32bit .TGA. after i have finished that i put it into adobie premier. i import and set video in background video i want in for first layer of the timeline. then i open the .TGA and apply the alpha channel.

i have been working with it for days now. before it didnt work at all, but now it sort of does but there is holes in the picture.

thanks for your reply cryptkeeper. if this all dosent seem to make sense to you, dont worry about it. i think i'll just introduce my computer to my friendly hammer.
