can you be a little more specific?
if you're interested making curves with the pen tool, check out pie_man's pen tutorial.

...well i usuallly use the pen tool...it's really one of the best tools around when it comes to vectors.
what you do is click on one spot and then click on the next and while holding it down you drag till you get the curve you want........if you want to continue it, you first hold down alt and click on the last point (i duno how to explain why its done but just try not using the "alt" step and see what happens on the next click)and then you just click on another spot again and hold and drag
the best way to find what suits you would be to experiment :)

yea...the pen tool would be the bet choice. You can get whatever shape you want, if you know how to work it correctly. If you are talking about the curve in a rectangle use the rounded rectangle tool, lol.

if your drawing curves with the pencil or paintbrush, you can also use the smooth tool with the ALT key. i find it handy for freeform drawing. especially on a tablet.

Use the pen tool with but with few nodes... the less nodes, the smoother the curves.
true ...
just try it
... takes many trial and error ... hehe lol

today I did a attempt on makin a illustration in Illustrator... omfg... what I did, I made it symetric, good thing about it I could copy the left part (or right part) and flip it to the other side... I also used grid and a snap to grid... makes it easyer imo...
