Mac Dock Icons?

Anyone know how to, or what you need, in order to create the Icons that appear in the Doc on the latest Mac OS?

I'm pretty they must be vector images, because they can be enlarged depending on your dock preferences.

Any info anyone has about this would be really helpful, as I have to create one in the coming days..

they're probably SVG's

it's actually a kind of XML. i used to experiment with SVG's a few years ago,..pretty cool :D You can use W3C's Amaya browser for the best SVG rendering...or Adobe's SVG renderer. IMO, the best program to create SVG's is Inkscape...it's free too.

SVG's can be used anywhere as long as you can render them.
an SVG is actually text that is rendered to show the image that the text defines based on some mathematical rules...putting it loosely. it's just XML.

i hope it gets used more in the future. it's pretty cool :D all my icons are SVG on Linux

yeah but you would still loose a LITTLE quality.
it's not as bad as resizing to make it larger where there's a lot of interpolation but it's still not a great idea so i'm guessing it's all SVG's




btw, Jamie Easton, how did this go? did you create these icons?

Uhm, I figured out how to make them, and then I believe the client dropped the project because they didn't want to pay that much? Something like that.

Make a graphic, set as icon. :)

Use the link from Koobi's post and from there I found some sites that give you a more comprehensive guide to make them with specific sizes, etc.
