Any ideas on how to make this sort of star?

Make a new document of 4px width and 1px height.
Zoom in. select your pencil tool and draw 2 pixel of it, so you have ½ of the canvas filled. Go in Edit -> Define pattern.
Create a new document.
Go in Edit -> Fill, then select the previously created pattern.
Now your document is filled with lines. Go in Filters -> Distort -> Polar coordinates -> rectangular to polar.
Now you should have a fairly near effect.
P.s If you want your lines thinner, create a 2px wide document instead of a 4. Vice versa for larger lines.

Thanks for the replies, but that's not what I'm after.. I want the lines to be thicker towards the center of the "star"... plus, I allready know how to do that (http://graphic-forums.com/showthread.php?t=9441) :P
Well then, why are you asking ? You have all the knowledge to figure it out yourself...
Good response Mizu.
steffen, try the polygon tool, and adjust the settings in the fly-out menu on the option bar to something like the attached screen cap. Photoshop may not be your best choice, as the number of sides is limited to 100 (or 50 points), at least up to CS (I haven't been sold on the benefits of a CS2 upgrade).
Illustrator on the other hand can give you a virtually unlimited number of points. Anyway play around with the polygon tool's settings and you should get something close to your example.
Does he mean the actual star?
