here in town we have shops for that....i have made a shirt some days ago. i went to the shop and asked! i get informations about price and quallity.
i used only one color and i selected a kind of print (in german flock), thats made of cloth (i like it cause in uv-light it shines really intense) but like all methods there are problems (in this case, i couldnt do anything smaller than 2mm except the end of the letters or someone else (but no points). the cost here: 15eur (ca 15$) shirt inclusive
ask ur lokal dealer ;)
ps.: they wanted a vector-graphic
Hey,
I work for one of the largest manufactuers of t shirt transfers in the world, and I will tell you this, there's quite a bit behind getting that artwork to a tshirt. What its going to depend on is the type of garment its going on, what kinda of process being used to get it there, and the texture/look you want to end up with.
However, if you work with a good shop, they should be able to reproduce just about anything you can come up with.
Feel free to PM me with any other questions you might have.

/me thinks ^ is a cheapo.
Heh, actually... the company I work for also sells high quality transfer paper made for epson printers, which make heat transfers at a comparable quality to screenprinting. The main thing we can't duplicate this way is ink milage.
... and do sell quite a bit of paper and printers so that people may do this. Why? Because we require a large order when we do a production for someone... and this is a way for a smaller order to be filled for those who dont need 5k transfers.
So... let this be a lesson to ya : Ink Jet or Lazer printing a transfer does not mean someone is cheap. Heh.
What about CafePress? http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/
Or MadMerch? https://www.madmerch.com/
But if I want t-shirts created locally (as opposed to using the above online service), I would contact a local silkscreen t-shirt manufacturer and ask for the spec -- how they want me to deliver the artwork (as a digital file, a print out, whatever).
I don't know if this can be done in Brazil -- never been there -- do they even have silkscreen t shirt manufacturers?
there's a tutorial on www.carbonfour.com that teaches you how to print graphics from a regular ink jet and transfer them to other surfaces... for those of you who are as cheap as me :D
