dvd's crashing finder

soo about half the time when i stick a dvd in my mac, his finder crashes. it's not really something i need to fix, it's just odd and slightly annoying and i was wondering if it happens to other people? or if you know why... :grr:

i run OSX 10.4.11 dual1.8 G5

As always I always don't suspect the program, I suspect the user.

Does this happen with other users?

i am not malfunctioning! ;)
i am the only person who uses this mac, so i don't know if it's me, all the macs are built differently; that being said, nobody else has had this problem.
