Bug? Wrong Setting? Stupidity?

Hey I've got a problem that I'm not sure is either a Bug, Wrong Setting, or just my plain stupidity. Maybe you guys can help...

Here it is:
Whenever I try and use the Text tool it makes my letter unusually large. Even when I'm trying to make Microtext and use the itty bitty fonts w/ a size setting on "6" it still makes it so large it's as if the setting was on "72."

I remember this happened to me once before, but I don't remember how I fixed it... If you guys can help me out that'd be great. :)

whats your img size like ?
and are you not zoomed ?

just a few things it coudl effect your font size

the font will appear differently at different DPI settings. When you create the new document double check what res you have it set at.

You wouldn't believe how many times that happened to me at first, lol.

Ahhh.. ty Reh. I had scanned in an image I was working w/ @ 1200dpi and my setting was still set there. I'll knock it back down to 72. :)
