the main ephasis of what i'm talking about is the tube looking smooth things... haha. how does one make something like this?
any help would be nice... thanks

that was made in a 3d app like max or maya.
Not too difficult really.
Just a few simple tubes with a semi-transparent material and high specularity

I believe it was done in a 3d program..

I'm sure with enough patience you could make something similar in PS. :)
it looks like it ws done in a 3D program but like mojo said if you have the patience i guess it could be done with PS using air brushing, lighting effects and blending modes and stuff
it would be MUCH easier and faster in a 3D program though

hehe. Yeah!! THat's my image. I made it in Bryce 5. There is a tutorial on my site for the initial Bryce render (confusion render it's called) and then I whacked it in Photoshop and added the extra bits. e.g. Lines at the side... colorizing... circles etc.
Nice to know someone's taking an interest in my work! hehe!!
