A friend of mine asked me, how to get this effect click here (http://photogenic.luminesce-impression.com/) the one with the frame like photo, to be more specific, look at the top graphic, you should see three womans. Um the thing is, how to get that thing, the border like frame.

I'm very sorry about the confusion, but if you see that, the original photos of the celebs doesn't come in that kind of frame (those with grungy burn edges) I wanted to know how that is done.. Er confuse still?
Thanks. :)

The questions concerns those images that look like Polaroids... and I think Dil expressed himself well on the last message.... Let's hope someone knows how to do it. *crosses fingers*

lets say you have the picture on a layer.. we'll call this layer 'photo'
create a new layer. call it 'border'.
select the selection of 'photo' (ctrl+click on the layer 'photo') then go to 'select>modify>expand' and enter a value.. depends on the size of the photo and the size of the border you want.
now fill it with a colour of your choice.
layer 'border' should be beneath the layer 'photo'.. so just move the layer 'border' beneath the layer 'photo'.
you'll notice that the border has weird corners.. so just complete them using the 'Rectangualr Marquee Tool' and filling it with the same colour of the border.
while you're on the layer 'border', press ctrl+A (select all) and now 'nudge' it downwards. 'nudge' is completed this way:
press alt+ctrl+shift+down_arrow_key.. repeat this until you're happy..:)
now you've got your border shape ready..
for making that 'grungy burned' edges, pick a brush, a colour of your choice and just have some fun.. you can play with the blending modes, apply some noisy filters until you're satisfied.. be sure to apply the brush work on seperate layers..
if you have some brush work that has gone out of the border limit, just select the selection of the border layer, go to 'select>inverse' and press delete.
you can apply a stroke to the border, shadow.. whatever you want..
hope that helped.. PM me if you're having trouble.. ;)
