i drew a picture on notebook paper and scanned it..
i want to know how to remove the blue lines from the background.
if anyone's curious the pic is here

Well, you can either manually erase them, 'magic' erase them, or reduce the blue in the image to 0 using the selective colour adjustment layer.
well you have the lines IN the drawing, so my suggestion would be too use illustratir or another porg that can do vector and trace the image, that way it will even look better.
I've been able to get rid of them using Levels as well. You need to be careful of not letting your original image get screwed up, but it can work.
For line drawings, I almost always ink them in Illustrator.
jonnyhighwire, try desaturating the image and then use the clone and heal tool along with curves.
I really like the drawing by the way :)
